A Week’s Worth Of Lunches

Do you ever just stare at your cupboards and pantry (while kids are at your feet saying “Mom I am hungry!”) wondering what on Earth are you going to serve for lunch today.

Three meals a day, seven days a week… it’s no small task, especially when you’re balancing it all. With sticky hands, nap schedules, and the ever-growing laundry pile. If you’re in that season, know this: you’re not alone- and you’re doing a beautiful job. Even when it doesn’t feel like it.

So today, I wanted to offer you a little inspiration and a hand from one mom to another, a weeks worth of lunches. Kid approved, tasty, and the best part, kid approved.

The kind of meals that don’t demand perfection, just presence. As always you know your child best-feel free to tweak, simplify, or swap anything to fit your families needs.

Meat and Cheese Roll Ups:

Sometimes, simplicity is the sweetest gift. Just roll up their favorite lunch meat with a slice of cheese, and you’ve got a no-fuss lunch ready in moments. Change it up by trying turkey and cheddar, ham and swiss, or salami with mozzerella. You can cut them into bite-sized pinwheels for little hands-or serve as-is for your older kids.

Sandwich Kebobs:

These are such a fun twist on the everyday sandwich. Stack cubes of bread, cheese, meat, and even some tomates or cucumbers on a kid-safe skewer. My little ones love pulling each piece off like it is a new precious treat. Just skip the stick entirely for toddlers- everything is just as magical if it is deconstructed.,

Ham and Cheese Croissants:

Warm, buttery, and just three ingredients?? Yes, please. These are a family favorite and a breeze to make-especially with little hands helping in the kitchen. They’re cozy take on a classic ham and cheese sandwich. Pack these in a bag and take for a darling picnic and happy memories.

Quesadilla:

Quesadillas are a lifeline on days when time slips away. Fold in some shredded chicken, beans, or keep it classic with just cheese. Toast it until golden. Serve with sour cream, salsa, or plain. Use a cookie cutter to add fun shapes into the day in and day out of lunches.

Turkey Cheddar Roll Ups:

There’s something about pinwheels that makes lunch feel a little more special. Thee bite-sized spirals are made with a tortilla, a swipe of cream cheese, sliced turkey, and cheddar. Roll it up, slice it thin, and bam lunch is ready-cute, easy, and completely toddler approved.

PB&J

It may be the classic of all classics, but a cookie cutter can breathe new life into a PB&J. Try to cut it into starts, hearts, dinosaurs,-or just a circle if that’s what you’ve got. I got this bundle of Cutters before L went to school to add a nice twist to lunches and now they are a staple in our home for lunch time. I will link them here.

Homemade Lunchables:

No need to buy the boxed kind-build your own crackers, cubed cheese, and sliced meat. Add a handful of blueberries, grapes or an Oreo. Now you have the perfect finger-food for home or on-the-go. You can also let the kiddos build their own on the go little bites.

Meat, cheese, and crackers

These aren’t just lunches. They’re the midday pause in your rhythm. A moment to refuel and reconnect. Whether it’s at the table, on a blanket in the backyard, or in the car between errands-you are creating something steady and nourishing, even when it doesn’t feel Pinterest-perfect.

So take what works, leave the rest, and know this: you are feeding more then just bellies. You are feeding their hearts. Day in and day out you are there for them and that matters!

What is your favorite lunch to make?

With love and crumbs on the counter,

Miriam
